Yoga

Dr. Claire Wilson, ND, is a 500 hour registered yoga teacher. Claire has been practicing for over 12 years, and has taught for 5. She believes it was her love for science and the human body that sparked her yoga passion, while her adoration of functional movement truly propelled her in practice. Claire’s trainings and love for instructing abroad has brought her to teach in countries around the world, including India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Portugal, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and El Salvador; however, she finds the most inspiration teaching in beautiful British Columbia.

 

Claire teaches predominantly Hatha and Vinyasa styles of yoga, with a strong focus on alignment and safe functional movements. Her classes blend breath with movement, yet are built on a foundation of body awareness and integrity. Her knowledge of anatomy and movement ensures that students move in a way that is safe for them, and modifications and props are always provided.

 

In addition to yoga classes, Claire utilizes her training as a naturopathic physician to teach functional anatomy workshops for yoga teachers, yoga students, and anatomy sectors of yoga teacher trainings.
